Injectable anti wrinkle therapy

Why consider anti-wrinkle treatment? Why not?

Anti-wrinkle injections have become increasingly popular over the last 10 years and are a great way to improve the way you feel about yourself.

We use the market leading brand of product (Botox) to ensure we deliver results that look natural yet are noticeable and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The treatment works by relaxing muscles on the face so that lines are not formed when making certain facial expressions. It takes up to 2 weeks following treatment to see the full effect.

As the treatment is temporary it usually needs repeated after about 3-4 months to maintain the effect. The length of time between treatments generally gets longer after several treatments have been performed and one treatment can last up to 9 months.

The main areas treated are vertical frown lines (forehead between eyes), horizontal frown lines (forehead) and crow’s feet (eyes).

Axillary Hyperhidrosis

Anti-wrinkle therapy can also be used to successfully reduce excessive sweating from under the arms known as axillary hyperhidrosis. The procedures involves having a number of injections under each arm and usually requires a larger volume of Botox. It can be effective for up to 6 months at a time.

While there are some private minor surgery services that we cannot offer to patients registered with Stonehaven Medical Group (due to potential conflict of interest) we are able to offer injectable anti-wrinkle therapies to all.
