Dermal Fillers

Facial Treatments

Dermal fillers are injected into areas of the face to produce firmer and more youthful appearing skin. They do this by lifting the skin and fill out areas where ageing effects have led to the skin sagging. Most commonly this will be around the mouth and nose area.

Prices for dermal filler treatment is dependent upon the type and volume of filler required and this will be discussed in detail at your initial consultation. It is common for prices to vary from £250 to £600.

Treatment effects will be seen immediately after your treatment and improve over the following weeks.

The most common areas treated are nasolabial folds (lines running from nose toward mouth on each side), marionette lines (lines running vertically around chin/jaw area) and oral commissures (next to mouth).

Treatment with dermal fillers will usually last for several months and sometimes longer.

Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are another popular treatment option. This can add volume and shape to your lips giving you an enhanced look and confidence.

Our aim is to develop natural looking lips with enhanced volume and curves.

Did you know that the most common reason for getting lips filler treatment is not to create very large lips but rather to enhance smaller volume lips into a fuller appearance.

Our Products

The dermal filler we use is called Juvederm. Juvederm contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin which is lost with the effects of ageing. This binds with collagen in the skin to give a more youthful appearance. There are several varieties of Juvederm available each tailored to achieve slightly different effects and for this reason it is essential that a face to face consultation to plan treatments is undertaken before any dermal filler treatment can be undertaken. Juvederm is the preferred brand because it contains local anaesthetic to make the procedure more comfortable and can be used in more superficial areas.

A full medical history and medication check will be undertaken at your initial consultation to ensure that there Juvederm treatment is safe. Some common reasons where Juverderm may not be appropriate to use include:

  • Severe allergies or anaphylaxis

  • If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • History of excessive scarring (such as keloid scars)

The treatment usually takes about 30 minutes to perform. There may be some discomfort during injections however this is usually minimal.

All dermal filler treatments offered are temporary and can last from several months.

Treatment with dermal fillers commonly results in redness and bruising which may be present for up to 3 weeks and it is important to consider this when planning the timing of treatments.
